The flower-frame gantry crane is a specialized lifting device designed specifically for bridge construction. It primarily consists of modular main beams, legs, and overhead cranes, with components connected via pins and high-strength bolts, making it easy to disassemble, transport, and reassemble. Compared to conventional gantry cranes, it offers convenient and rapid installation, as well as cost-effective practicality. It is suitable for road and bridge construction units that frequently relocate.
It can either be used in pairs to lift precast beams or as a single crane with dual lifting devices to lift precast beams. When two cranes operate simultaneously, each typically has a lifting capacity of 100 tons, while a single crane can achieve a lifting capacity of up to 150 tons. It is equipped with outrigger travel, overhead crane travel, and overhead crane lifting equipment, enabling fully mechanized operations in all directions. It is primarily used to lift precast beams from the beam production platform to the beam storage platform, and after the beams are cured, to transport them from the storage platform to the beam transport vehicle. It also serves as lifting equipment for assembling and disassembling bridge erectors. Additionally, it is used for erecting low-pier dry bridges.
